Here it is people, The Blaze. Along with HOB, probably the most discussed part of the poem.
In my opinion the backwards bike hint refers to the blaze! How so?
Easy a L be or Easy a lb (blaze/ezalb) So the blaze is an L, or a pound symbol
Since my line (see Final Solve) goes through the D2 and E2 sections of the map, I considered the blaze could also be Ez (E2) a L be or Ez (E2) a lb
Here is also where my solve started to have much more uncertainty.
*BOTG #1 My for my blaze I considered the Intermission Fire (at the start of the road to Porcupine Falls) and the Duncum Burn Memorial (just to the right on Rd. 14). At this point I hadn't considered that we didn't need to go to the falls nor did I think of reading "blaze" backwards.
BOTG #2 I had my L theory, and thought L=12, so the blaze was the box number 12 on the map. Below it are two dots (cabins) that are numbered 137. We avoided these cabins as the treasure is "not associated with a structure," this is taken from Dal's cheat sheet. https://dalneitzel.com/cheat-sheet/
I have yet to go out there and look for a physical L or #, which I believe to be visible near Jaws Trailhead or from the road (Rd. 14) by the Cow Camp. Let me know in the contact section if any of you make it out there and find something!
BOTG #1 my search partner and I did find this, and we lost our minds! It was in very close proximity to a trail however :(
I read "Look quickly down your quest to cease," as your quest two C's. LQDYQTC= CC
"But tarry scant with marvel gaze" I came up with several answers to this clue, even just TR, but I decided on Cary Grant for my Final Solve, considering the source below and that Forrest mentioned in a quote from 4/15/17 that To Catch a Thief was his favorite movie and he had the chance to meet him once (search Cary Grant on tarryscant.com).
